Maggie is an American-born Supermodel and activist, supporting many causes, including HIV/AIDS foundations. She was born in Staten Island and raised in Northern New York. As a young girl, Maggie's parents divorced when her father came out as being gay. She was fortunate to grow up being surrounded by loved ones who all respected one another. When Maggie was fourteen, her father, Kevin Rizer, passed away from AIDS.

When Maggie was 18, her mother sent some photos to an agent, Louie Chaban in New York. She had seen an episode on Oprah, about what to do if you thought your child should get into modeling, and followed her advice. Maggie had been taking photography classes in high school and coupled with her father introducing her to fashion brands as a child, was intrigued by the fashion industry.

Although Maggie had enrolled in college, she decided to take some time off after her first semester left her feeling unfulfilled and the door to fashion had opened. Once in New York, her career blossomed overnight. Under Louie's wing, Maggie was given an education in fashion like none other. She was incredibly fortunate to have the support of fashion's very best magazines, editors, photographers, designers, and makeup and hair stylists. She shot in locations all over the world and walked the runway for every notable fashion designer.
